Well, as you guessed, it seems the time has come for my models to gain a used look. After talking to the guys at the DEMU stand at TINGS, I have decided enough is enough, and it is about time I started to weather. So, what have I got, and what do i need?

Have:
- airbrush
- compressor
- paint (railmatch)
- fine brushes (designed for modelling)
- weathering powders (don't like them, but the White is good for water streaks)
- mask

Need:
- natural light lamp (built in magnifying glass)
- optivisor as seen in railway modeller (staring through the lamp lens can make you feel sick  :-\ )

Having tested in a wagon already, and being pleased with the results, I feel now is the time to get all my stock done.

Rather than test on a loco I want to use, I purchased a cheap £30 returned loco from the dapol stand. This way if I damage it, I Wong feel sad

Please not, the first pictures will not be up till the weekend. First step is clearing the desk   then purchasing the needs  :claphappy:
Hopefully I will learn a lot, and some if you may find the courage to give it a go.

:thankyousign:
