Friends,

Today Malc drove down from Birmingham to give me the benefit of his knowledge as regards, not only our common interests but also why my layout is not performing in the way that I thought it should be doing!

Using my circuit tester in the way that it was designed he has convinced me that I need to isolate all my tracks inside my outer track and trace the shorts and faults that way!

I was getting more and more frustrated from not knowing or rather realising what it was that I should do to improve matters!

Thankyou, Malc, I REALLY appreciate your efforts!

Peter.
Each can do but little, BUT if each did that little, ALL would be done!

Life is like a new sewer pipe, what you get out of it depends on what you put into it!

A day without laughter is a day wasted!

Good on you Malc.
That's what this forum is all about.
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Maybe we could set up a skills exchange system :

"you do my wiring and I'll do your ballasting"

?

Best regards,

Joe

Fantastic story and kudos to Malc (and Peter for the original post)

Now if anyone is willing to travel to Pennsylvania I have a couple of dodgy points that need some attention :goodbye:

Can I just reply to Peter's original comments. I had a great day out and Peter and I put the world to rights. We have a mutual love of wood turning, although if am an amateur and Peter is a professional. Peter's wife Susan put on a lovely lunch, with home made bread. As I said, I had a great day out.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.
