You think a grand gesture like that would be much more deeply appreciated!

This time I thought I would hoover the lounge and stairs after using it to tidy up after laying a new point....trouble is she is making a whineing noise from possibly sucking up some track pieces.... The hoover doesn't sound too good either !!!!

I was working in a TV studio in Holland and we needed to borrow a Hoover, so I sent one of the lads to ask the locals if we could borrow one. He went up to the maintenance supervisor and asked "can we borrow a Hoover" "a what?" Asked the supervisor. "A Hooovvvveeeerrrr", complete with a demonstration of cleaning the carpet. "Oh, you mean a vacuum cleaner" came the reply.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

Well I thought I would give the layout in the garage a quick flick of the hoover to pick up the dead bugs (not frog's) that like to electrocute themselves before relaxing and watching the cricket...well this time Swmbo was having none of it.....just finished the whole house top to bottom...too knackered to do the layout...at least cook has a fifty..
