Afternoon All

As a collector of Poole built Farish locomotives, I am searching for a publication that lists all of their models. Short of buying every catalogue they released (possibly an idea), what would you say is the most comprehensive publication listing their releases.

I came across this on ebay and am thinking to buy one - has anybody got any other suggestions? Apologies but I can only copy and past the auction number, not a direct link, since I'm taking it from the iPad app, not the webpage;

The documents referenced list all the BachFar (Chinese-built) ones, including the early reissues of Poole models (xxx-xxx reference numbers).

This website has the original Graham Farish (Poole) details (xxxx reference numbers) for diesels, electrics and rolling stock (but still being updated)...

The fleaBay page the OP is trying to reference is this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161351154179?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3D161351154179%26_rdc%3D1

I've never seen this publication before, but if it does what it says on the tin then it's a gold mine...

I'd say that at a fiver it has got to be worth a go.

Bigric

Yeah , I think that I've got a couple of these buried somewhere . The guy who produced them used to sell them at exhibitions & used to have with him a couple of display cases featuring all the British Minitrix range from start to finish (not seen for a few years now) . My recollection is that the booklets contain a potted history of the range ,plus listings of items with release dates & item cat nos . It's possible that only locos are covered , & as I'm not at home currently I can't dig them out & check . Sorry !! BUT I would say definitely worth a fiver for this item ! I think that the ones I still have are the Poole Farish one & the British Minitrix one - I seem to think that there was a LBritish Lima one as well .Cheers , Ric

Thank you everyone! I just bought one on ebay, they're GBP4.55 now. It was a multiple item listing, I think there are still 3 left if anyone is interested.

Sorry, I forgot to say in the OP that it's called MONTYS AMATEUR COLLECTORS GUIDE TO GRAHAM FARISH N 1970 - 2001.

Talisman, thanks for posting the ebay link, and thank you to those who posted a link to those websites. I'll have a look later tonight - been busy stripping down a class 50 and now glued to the Brazil vs Chile match ... 1-1 at half time!

Is that list in the Bachmann website only models produced since the takeover? Looks like it to me but then I only had a quick look.

Yes, Dan that is correct. Hence my reference to a 'pre-takeover' details site in my first reply...

Right, got it! Sometimes it's hard to follow who's referring to who, but I see now what you mean.

Thanks for clearing that up. I've checked your link also Talisman - think that's in my favourites somewhere. I wonder what they didn't bother with Steam? I'd like to find something that broke the model no.s down by year of production - I'll report back on the MONTYS publication but it's likely to be a few months before I get my hands on it.
