I love a challenge me.
So, a few Googles later and ... I think it might be this

http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watertoren_(Gorinchem)

It's a water tower in Gorinchem in south Holland

Do a Google image search for Gorinchem watertoren

Thankyou Chris I really appreciate your efforts on my behalf.

Only one thing wrong, I KNOW that the building I want is in the UK!

Warmest regards, Peter.

I'm sorry, Peter... but that looks like the same buildings to me!  :worried:

Sorry Peter - I think your info is wrong there ...

ChrisB seems to have nailed it with his suggestion of "watertoren vlissingen " - check out the link, and go to the 3rd from right picture on the 2nd row - not only are the windows right, the window insets are right, the overall window inset is right, roofline is right, the dormers look right, the brick lines under the window area looks right ... hell, there's even a tree that could be right !!!

My vote is for Chris's suggestion - good hunting that man

Sorry Peter...not trying to gang up on you, but your picture looks identicle to the Vlissingen tower. The brick patters around the windows and the pitch of the roof - not to mention the stripes - all point to this being the case.

Out of interest, which thread contained the original picture? That may provide some context...

Unless someone has built a replica of the Vlissingen one here in the UK which wouldn't surprise me!

There are some similar but not found an exact match yet.
