c6250Which series of C62 did you buy? The 2017 or the 2019?

The loose part may be one of those pipes under the foot plate.

The model I bought was the 2017

The loose part looks as though it may fit below the cab window next to the cab door steps. The 2017 doesn't have the same cab as the one in the photo of a D51-498

What type of camera do you folks use to get those really close up pics? Not sure how I can show the close up details.

I usually use a Nokia PureView 808 for casual snap shot. I choose close up from the manu, take the photo, then crop out the required part.

By the way enjoy your new train. ;D

Thanks C6250 I have been using my Ipad up to now but not tried any really close up shots.  The Orient Express set has arrived it looks very smart in the box. I've not run it yet

I find the iPad very handy for N gauge shots, the above close-up is one from the other day.

You can zoom in/out by pinching your thumb and forefinger together on the screen or vice-versa.  Press and hold your finger on the spot of your choice to lock focus/exposure.

Best to use a stand if you can, as well - mine cost a quid from one of those pound-bargainy stores that abound.
