Right, so I have acquired a couple of Peco Ford Pallet Vans which I wish do 'deford' and use as barrier wagons around my nuclear flask wagon.
I've had a poke with a cotton bud with IPA, and tried subtle scraping, but the blue seems to come of more readily than the white markings on top... :dunce:
So I figure I have two cunning plan options...

1. Get one of those Tamiya weathering master sets and cover all the panels with the branding on

2. Paint over them.

I would like to keep the wagon information panels but from looking at pictures of them in use as barrier wagons these panels were usually still relatively 'original' while all manner of horrors happened to the rest of the side.
So I could paint over in a similar shade of blue (if I knew what shade of blue it was  :hmmm: I have some Humrol Rail Diesel Blue)
Or I could paint over in an appropriate shade of mankiness (this would also require suggestions...)
If I were to go with the weathering master approach, which set?
