H & M Duette Controller

Anyone know if spares are available, or what the resistance of the dial coil is/should be as i have one which has a broken wire across its flat coil which seems to be some unsolderable alloy!!
Hoping i can replace it with a suitable potentiometer!

The only real source nowadays to to canabalise another... That is what I resorted to when I had the same issue with my H&M Clipper (single version of the duette) Unfortunately the resistance mat is usually the first (and only) thing to wear out on those old beasts...
