Have just got an invite to a birthday party. I want to get some personised wagons done for mate who is turning 50.
Does Robbie's rolling stock have a phone number that I can call or is there only the email
Thanks in advance

He is R Burns, Orchard House, 2 Whites Close, Abergavenny. He should be in our local phone book - but have just looked and he is unlisted.

The website has no phone number, but he was at Warley so maybe his number is in the show guide. I was too skinflint to buy one but maybe someone else will look

Hi thanks for looking really appreciate that
I know it is a last minute notice only 3 WMD but I am hopeful
I have emailed but was trying to call hoping it might speed it up
Any idea how long a wagon order takes

Robbie's Rolling Stock did our NGF Hoppers so I'm sure Tank will know how long the process took :hmmm:

Lawrence

I have ordered stuff from Robbie in the past for a couple of special occasions, depending on how busy he is it usually takes a couple of weeks, however it is worth the wait as his stuff is very good.
He did say to me at a show that if the phone was constantly ringing he would never get any work done, so that may be the reason there is no number listed  ;)

Hi,

I agree with Lawrence, it can take a couple of weeks for anything special. He did some one off wagon decals a couple of years ago and I've just been in touch with him about reducing 7 plank wagon decals to fit 5 plank wagons.

I couldn't accurately say how long it takes as I had to wait many weeks for Dapol to get their shipment of hoppers.  However from memory Robbie was very quick with the whole batch and I was surprised.

Hi all,
Thanks for the replies, Robbie just emailed me.
He reckons it will be tight but I'm in luck
My wife Nicole suggested it today when she picked me up from work & I thought what a great gift

Hi all
Thought I best give an update
The wagons were a bit my mate was totally amazed and happy. His daughters yet told me he a had bit of a tear in his eyes as he was that happy
It was great to see it work out and best of all it was less the a week delivered from question order and in my hands
Not cheap A$68 but for two custom made wagons in my livery I could not be happier

I'm thinking of doing something similar - was the price dependent on speed and/or detail?  A mate up here has some done as his own coal merchant (well he and his son - he got them done when his son was born) and my wife thought I should do something similar and since her maiden name was Collier, I thought it a good idea!

The ones I've had from Robbie the price depended upon the wagon - the WW2 'Salvage For Victory' cost more as it needed a kit built base wagon.

My favourite is still the 'Bush & Blair Intelligence Adjusters' wagon.

Hi
They cost 15 pounds each plus 5 for postage. The main killer was the exchange rate which pumped up the price
I think the normal cost is about 8 pounds for one of his off the shelf wagon
The main thing was he went out of his way to fit me in which meant a lot to me
But when you think about the price breakdown it is quite good as a wagon cost 4 I'd have to buy printable law sheets some paint and then do it all

I forgot to take a photo before I gave them to my mate so I will get one done & post it here.
Having seen what he does I really want some done of my own
