Latest experiment - micro loop of code 40 flat bottomed rail- ruler shown for size.

Kato 103 chassis trundles round quite happily.

The sleepers will be buried and will end up being a mini diorama. Yellow arrows indicate running direction as that seemed smoother but when veiwed they will be behind a  backscene.  Nothing specific decided yet.

Change of plan as can be seen from above picture.
Just vegetation and a building to fit.

Thanks guys, The railbus is a shapeways product on a Kato 103 chassis.
Trees came from ebay and are from the same supplier as the ones I used on my brickworks layout.
Building I may have shown before came from Clever Models .
A few more pics.

New projects in the pipeline include  1200 x 250mm mini layout using 3 of the micro baseboards from Tim Horn.
This will include a beach complete with breakwaters, possibly a cliff and a small narrow gauge tourist railway with mini works, beach huts,  etc.
Some more scratchbuilt track with servo controlled points.
Have a sheet of 50mm foam in stock ready, the servos but no  controllers yet.
May try some scratch built rolling stock as well.
