The BBC are not showing anymore MotoGP after this year,a five year contract has been given to BT,whoever they are.
The BBC say they put in a competitive tender, can't help but wonder if it would been more competitive if it was to show football matches.

It also looks like Cal Crutchlow won't be with Tech Three next year, bit of a bummer all round really.

Hi,
Just about to settle in for the Le Mans practice sessions on Eurosport - I prefer the commentary team even if I have had to wait for their delayed motoGP race day action
Funnily enough, since the BT announcement it's the first in an age or several that hasn't been broadcast live by them, looks like I'll have to change my broadband service for next year or miss out on the best form of motor sport remaining  8)

Regards, Gerry.

It'll probably finish up like it did here in Oz where we get 5 minutes of adverts every 10 minutes which IMO makes it hardly worth watching.

My Wife and I calculated that there was 40 minutes of adverts in the 90 minute "The Voice" TV show  :veryangry:

Gutted! How much is it to get eurosport?

and also, what is it with the BBC and its lack of commitment to motorsport!

Sorry if my previous post wasn't clear, I was bemoaning the fact Eurosport have also lost their franchise from next year which is why I have to consider changing broadband service :veryangry:
In fact I had to wait almost an hour for the recorded practice sessions last night as a 'live' WTA quarter final dragged on and on with both players taking turns at being rubbish with the rare burst of ability to emphasise how unnecessary it all was  - another BT highlight for next year to look forward to it seems  :hmmm:
The "lack of commitment" by the BBC is, at least in part, explained by the M.O.N.E.Y. factor as with the sell-out to Murdoch of part of the live F1 coverage - I'd not be surprised if it turned out many fans are not aware they won't be seeing Monaco live on the BBC this year  :smiley-laughing:

Well, certanly wont be getting BT TV as well as already having Sky for the F1. You sure its not M.O.T.D as appose to the M.O.N.E.Y thats holding back the beebs coverage of "other sports"  ;)

Bikeracer

I like the BBC coverage, there's usually half an hour of interviews and explaining things and no adverts to break up the action.

All this does my head in, I have also lost the chance to see the DTM and this years Indycar series to ESPN, am paying enough for the tv as it is without these extras!!!

I used to watch each indycar race live and now can't even get to see high lights!!! Would be even more gutted to start missing the moto GP as well.

Very brassed off with the Beeb about this :veryangry2:
They give us 2 wheel fans more this year as they now show the practice sessions a la F1 but then lose out to BT for next year. On the heels of losing much of the F1 to bloody Sky this is just another straw on the camel's back.
Looks like we're doomed to the Horse of the Year show ::) :help:

Ducati on the front row tomorrow,it's a long time since that happened.I think rain is forecast for tomorrow and I don't much like watching wet races.

It looked like Lorenzo and Marquez are speaking to each other again. :)

Cal had a big off and went straight out on a fresh bike again and made fourth on the grid,I wish they'd give him a factory bike.

You're not gonna be happy ...... don't Sky now have the TV rights here too ?

Looks like if I change broadband, Phone and TV to BT it will save me about £30 a month. Just need to see how much extra to get Eurosport on BT Vision for SBK and BSB coverage. Really don't need Sky as all the series we watch I download from the States and see them before they are aired over here.
