I know I will have to wash my mouth out with soapy water for even daring to mention OO but this layout really does it for me.

Blasphemy !! :P

Hard to say what mine would be as I don't tend to remember specific layouts, but from memory Gresley Beat would have to be up there somewhere ;)

What's the point in modelling something that is readily available, easy to see and not that fiddly? Where's the fun in that?

Also my holiday fund swear box would be less full!

Great layouts though.

Pengy. Are you going to move this to a new DARKSIDE thread or just remove it so you don't lose your moderator status? :D

Seen some great HO layouts but don't want to get kicked out!

Cheers Weave

The temptation of the DARKSIDE, strong it is but resisted it, I have  - May the N Gauge Force be with us!

Whilst that is a nicely modelled layout in that other scale, I can not be tempted over to the Dark Side.  :D

Hi  Pengy,

Superb  layout   ;) although not  my  era  or  preference  as i  would like to model   HO  U.S.  or  the  big  Red / Black   steamers from  Fleischmann   ;)

Paddy

Difficult as there are so many wonderful layouts/train sets out there.  I would have to say that I like the layouts that Tony Wright has been involved in.  His latest, Little Bytham on OO is progressing well.  I would have to mention Pete Waterman's Leamington Spa in O.  Anything related to Hornby Dublo (especialy 3 rail), Tri-Ang TT fascinates me as well.

One I like is Ken Jones' German Z gauge layout "Kendorf".

My favourite layout is one that we, BMRG, own and it is Pengwynn Crossing, I absolutely love operating this layout and have been known to be caught operating it for 3 hours or more without realising it, even with Steam Engines on it  :o :o

Here are some photos of the layout over the years we've owned it http://www.flickr.com/photos/monitor-computing/sets/72157626561495073/show/ if you watch carefully you might see some members of this Forum on there  ;) ;)

Pengwynn is celebrating its 25th anniversary next year and hopefully it'll be back on the circuit after a bit of a rewire.

Neal.

Although i have little interest in working in any scale other than my beloved N Gauge (Just wait till Dapol release that Gronk in 0 he says) the work of Chris Nevard is in a class of its own for me.........
I have seen some of his layouts in the flesh and they are just as stunning as in his pictures.

Agree, IF you need an appreciation of another scale GO LARGE!

Even I am tempted to go GRONK ! Will just work out how to persuade Mrs "H" that its what we really need in the summer to deliver drinks out to the garden... :hmmm:
Some days its just not worth gnawing through the straps.

Careful Jerry as there's no trains in A&E... :-X

might be oversized but still great inspiration, 47712 in pullman blue is a particular highlight, and the electrostars of course, but the ultimate is the VEP in connex,,, if i could get hold of N gauge size connex transfers for multiple units i'd have at least 1 on the go,,,
