Is there a good site or ref book for BR Liveries??

Steam and Diesel Locomotives, stock, coaches.

Greens, two tone greens, blue, black, white stripes, light green skirts, specials, yellow panels, yellow fronts, white cabs, blue stars ?

As ever my particular interest is 1959 - 1963

Best guidance is always photographs because there are so many oddities and one offs involved. Even into that period a few things had escaped repainting from pre BR colours, but mostly it would have been repainted.

Your period just misses the BR blue experiments and BR blue so is a bit simpler.
