Watched all my train DVD's, my plans for modeling being on hold I am slowly loosing the plot.
Had idea's for my new project but now unsure.
May just pass all the stock, track and buildings over to "monkey"

Don't give up just yet, I have been separated from my layout since I broke my ankle in november, but I am still raring to go, just as soon as I can safely climb the ladder again (wont be long now) for Ihave a four new locos to run in, and a new rake of maroon mark 1's to try behind them, not fogetting the Blue Pullman that arrive a week after I came out of hospital.

Hang in there Mike, I know only too well what it is like not being able to do anything because of medical problems.  However the time will pass and you will be able to get back to doing what you want on your layout, perhaps a good way of breaking you in is helping monkey to get up and running with her layout.

cheers John.

Go on you Tube and watch all the excellent N Gauge/Scale layouts, that should pass some time. :tv:

I agree with Owl this hobby is much bigger than  just working on a layout, there are times when its to hot that I don't go out into the shed to work on the trains, I read mags, watch DVDs, read books and search the www to gain information about our hobby, just hang in there and things will be OK.

Sounds like time to plan a diorama or box file layout, don't forget we're all batting for you and looking forward to your return to your layout. In the meantime you'll no doubt continue to give us the benefit of your wit and wisdom. As you're on the computer you could always use one of the track programs to plan the layout of your dreams if the lottery came up! and don't forget to share that with us. Very best wishes

Have my shoe box layout  set up but need to still solder the power feeds on so can only look at them till next week. Can't even play trains.
Don't want to do any more box layouts and although I fancy doing a couple of dioramas again having the modeling ban imposed does not help.
Get  bored watching youtube videos. I find constant computer usage at present does my brain in.

I take it Nurse Jazzy has put her foot down then Mike  :D she just wants to make sure you are fully recovered so you are in fine fettle when you help her get started on her layout.  Deep breaths, relax, get yourself right, then you will be back up and running in no time

Agree with Dave, get some rail mags or DVDs in and just get comfy. Plenty time for modelling when you're fit and well, so either read/watch some train stuff for inspiration or if you don't fancy sitting at the computer to do some "what if?" planning why not just get a good old pencil and paper and sketch some ideas?

May not be ideal having to sit and be a good boy, but face it it's better than the alternative ;)

Hope your mojo returns soon, Mike.
It happens to many of us, even though your circumstances have been forced on you through illness :(
I'm sure you'll bounce back

You know the rules - nothing till Monday.

You could always sort out some more stuff for my Geography project. :)

If you mention the "Blue" thing again I'll come back over and break the other ankle !!
Some days its just not worth gnawing through the straps.

Jazzy, I thought it was only till the weekend. You youngsters sure know how to stretch things.

Hang in there "Oldman". I'm suffering from "cabin fever" as its been too cold to go down to the Railway room this year.
