Plenty of history in and around Bridgnorth, Shropshire.
Bridgnorth (on the river Severn) is very quaint with a 'High Town' and 'Low Town' + castle ruins + cliff railway + Severn Valley Heritage Railway. Nearby is the first cast iron bridge by Thomas Telford and Blists Hill Industrial Museum.
