Friends,

If I had the money I would buy one of these purely for the quirkiness, (Is there such a word?) but especially at this reduced price!

Regards, Peter.

You could - the Kato DD51 is an excellent looking, beautifully running, model - but you need to factor in the postage and our friends at customs. You would probably end up paying £60-odd before you got hold of it. Well worth it thought!

Hi Peter -if you fancy trying quirky locos from Japan - have a look at Model Train Plus. It's run by a real enthusiast and very reasonable. I've never had a loco stopped by customs but I do send a cheque in for the VAT voluntarily. It's still a bargain, and I've just acquired a DD51 for less than £40 including postage and VAT.
