It's very common to see folk riding around here with cable ties sticking up from their helmets!

They probably come from the UFOs at the bowling club.

One hundred yards from Chez Bealman's this afternoon. Women's Road Race.

Why stand so far away? You ain't so fat you couldn't have got next to the barriers :D

Great win by Annemiek van Vleuten, with a fractured elbow. Good to see the UCI justifying their existence by fining her not only for her socks being too long, but also for her skinsuit being different to her teammates. The latter also requiring an in-race clothing change.

Not great pics from the bottom of the road this morning. I took me posh SLR with telephoto lens with me, and was juggling phone pics and SLR. Of course they all flew past so quickly I stuffed everything up!

These are the phone pics, by the way, but the posh ones aren't much better! Anyway the race is just finishing now in town, and it looks like some Belgian guy is killing it.

Wow! That coast road is impressive
(Shame it's not a railway, though :D)

Don't worry, the railway is nearby. It skirts the coast and goes through several tunnels and crosses an old curved viaduct not far after that bridge.

Very picturesque, but it makes getting to Sydney by train a long pain in the butt. Worse if you have to use it to get back to Wollongong after a long haul flight.

Sounds great. Maybe some pics when you've nowt better to do? :camera: ;)

I took heaps of my first few trips, before the novelty wore off. Unfortunately they're all 35mm slides, but I'll see what I can do!
