It's not just model railways that now and then have electrical connectors sticking out in odd places

Take a look at the giant electrical screw connector in the middle of the roof    ::)

That's not an electrical connector, it looks like a bolt. If you pull it, that whole section of roof drops down.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.
