Received the green version from Osbornes. Why is there only one end with a coupling on the Dapol version.?

Great model - now I'm temtped to join the "Western plus 1 club" or wait for the Hymek.

@geofff
Because the other end has a detachable 'valance' which prevents fitting a coupling. If you want a coupling simply pull off the valance and fit one. I think it's somewhere in the instructions as to how to do it.

Back on 2017 I made a Western Tribute video to mark 40 years since the last Westernw were withdrawn. Sorry if many of you have seen it before, it gets more interesting towards the end.

I now how substantially more Westerns and a different layout so I might be tempted to make another one with the current fleet.
Working doesn't seem to be the perfect thing for me so I'll continue to play.

Great video - really liked the sand colour D1000 and choc and cream coaches. Dare not ask how many coaches that you have - I've got 6.

I'm sure Dapol Westerns come with an alternative bogie with a coupling pocket (or without), so you can have the choice of a fully detailed front at one end (some folk like this), or couplings at both ends.

NTPNTPNTP is correct - there is a spare bogie, but instructions as to how to change it are not included. I'll just leave it as it is.

The bogies just pull out and push back in.
