Alerts and notifications via email

Try as I might, I can't seem to turn off forum notifications in my email. I've had about 30 of the blighters so far today and that's about par for the course.

As far as I can see, I have everything in the 'alerts' setting of my profile to 'off'. I visit the forum every day and don't need an email to tell me that someone has replied to a topic I posted in a week ago when I'm seeing 'all unread posts' every time I visit.

Is this a forum 'feature', or am I missing something in my profile?

There are various tick-boxes to set preferences or turn off notifications to topics you may have subscribed to.

Ah, thank you! Didn't see that 'notifications' option before, just the 'alerts' one.

My "turn on notification..." is unselected, but I still get emails.
