We have had about 6 inches of snow in Cheshire and as i look out the window,it has just started again...

Same here in Staffordshire.  We are at the top of a hill on high ground too so well snowed in at the moment. :uneasy:

Here in the Midlands near Banbury in places we have 18 inch snowdrifts so I won't be going anywhere!

Bet that's an unexpected shock to your system  :P

Enjoy the snow - you'll miss it when you head back  :smiley-laughing:

Wouldn't mind a bit of snow here instead of the weird weather we are having.

We had several Tornado's in Victoria last week, they did terrible damage and put 80 people in hospital, in the past we never had Tornado's so what is going on ?

With Tornadoes in Oz and Deep Snow in the UK during March 2013 (compared to a heat wave in March 2012) i would suggest global warming or a new ice age (dont know which!)
Probably means we are all DOOMED! :help: :smiley-laughing:

Had a total of about 4" of snow now although it's all melted off the roads now, even in our quiet little loop where it usually lies for days :)

Not such a bad thing for the planet as a whole, humans are the worst kind of vermin after all ;)

Went to the Dean Forest Railway today and there were an odd couple of flakes of snow in the air a couple of times, but not enough to really consider as snow.

Saw a few cars driving about while we were travelling to and from the railway that had an inch or two of snow on their roofs. Didn't see any snow anywhere else though.

Still nothing here in Newcastle, in fact it has been quite a good day with some blinding sunlight but it is extremely cold with a wind chill factor of -5° C  :cold:

cheers John.

Nice load of snow dropped here over the weekend, drifting well with the high winds. As the snow on Friday was "wet", and yesterday "dry", we now have soft snow over slush, which is freezing tonight, especially the wheel ruts. Dog did not know whether to slip on the ruts, or dive head first into the drifts - managed to do both!

Shock is not the word I'd use, couldn't believe how cold it was when I got off the plane at Luton Airport and now, what with the snow, I'm regretting I came.  I was going to come over in February but decided not to as I thought it would be too cold, little did I know.   :o

Can't wait to get back to my sunshine and warmth.   :)

It's been very odd in my part of cumbria, where I live is on the edge of the snow go a few miles and there's been lots of snow. But to the north and out in the village I work in there's no snow at all, apart from a pile of snow under one of the wagons, seriously I can't figure out how it got there, someone must of brought it from home.
