Hi all,
Over the weekend of the 10th & 11th November Townfoot models based in Hexham was broken into and a large amount of sound locos where stolen along with a laptop and a camera. If anyone has any information please contact Townfoot models.....PLEASE SHARE THIS

Agree totally
Just one Pendolino, give it to me, a beautiful train, from Italy

They are on the station platform so I am surprised there is no CCTV footage for the constabulary to view  :confused2:

cheers John.

They're a great little shop. I started my N Gauge modelling with lots of useful advice (and stock) from there and Mike's a N Gauge modeller himself. Really annoying to see them robbed and I hope they recover quickly.

Does anyone know if any customer information was on the laptop? Going after model trains is pretty specific and a customer list of who else has expensive locos locally could be what they were hoping for on the laptop.

Sad to hear of this, Hexham one of my favourite places in the NE, didn't know
there was a model shop there.

Yup, on the station platform itself. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

So sorry for Mike and his wife, especially as they're planning to wind down towards retirement next year. A very good shop, I never come out empty-handed even if I just get a few bits and pieces.

Does anyone know what was taken? Anything that may be identifable if it was put on sale anywhere?

Perhaps a member who lives near by/uses/knows them could enquire what the thieving toerags took.
Then we could all keep an eye out for them.

If it was specific items though then it was probably a steal to order job.
Thats the worst kind but then there are unfortunately modellers out there who don't care where things come from.
Lets hope any cctv got them to help the police catch them.
Personal motto: You don't have to be mad to be a modeller, but I find it helps!
