don't know if anyone is thinking of getting these, some are already released ie

infantry - 8 figures

landrover snatch + 8 infantry figures

landrover snatch + landrover WIMIK

Airfix also list a set of crew and maintainance, and looking at the vehicles I've got I felt that the best way to fit the drivers, and possibly the wimik front gunner, would be to add them while building the vehicles rather than try to slide them in later.

so I e-mailed airfix to see when the 'crew and maintainance figures' in this series would be released.

reply asking for the part number so they could help !!!!!!    >:(

looked on the Airfix site and then replied with the ref no (perhaps they can't access their site)  ;D

they then replied to say they had been delayed and suggested e-mailing them again in january when they might be able to give a provisional release date .

kits now in the cupboard waiting for next year  :veryangry:

looks like Hornby / Airfix subscribe to the Dapol method of business !

I would point out that these are 1:48 (i.e. 1/4" to the foot) not 1:148!

as per my title Airfix 1:48 Afghanistan vehicles and figures and the fact that posted in general discussion, not N discussion.

I am sure most of the members on this forum worked this out for themselves

I saw these models when I was in modelzone two weeks ago. The box art looks really good, I won't be buying any though as otherwise I will have to buy the whole set and that means less money for N Gauge!

For any serious military modellers these look great!

Hello,

I must say I clicked on the links assuming (since this is the N Gauge forum) that the title was a typo - easily done! -and was quite excited at the possibility of snatch Landrovers to put on modern era Warwell wagons.

Never mind!

cheers

Try Caliver Models Ben:

The prices are great, 12mm is good for N Gauge and the model quality is good. I have ordered loads from this chap.
