I hope we're beyond 'close enough' in RTR n gauge these days. Obviously for a conversion the expectation is  different.

When i restarted in n gauge 8? years ago---someone had listed a number of minitrix Brits renamed and numbered as Clans--i was lucky enough to get one ( £40 !!! )  . Back then i thought the clans had smaller driving wheels than the Brits.

Personally I think the difference is very noticeable, the "Clan" as a result of the smaller boiler (which in itself looks different) having a taller chimney, but as with all things it is a matter of personal opinion/choice.

That said, the Minitrix Brit is already "wrong" in so many ways that sticking a Clan name and number on it without alteration probably won't matter to some one bit which is absolutely as it should be!

Nearly, was to have been the 1,000th, but it looks like 82045 will get there first.

You are having a laugh right?
I didn't realise the (EFE) Baby Deltic was a RE-RELEASE of a FARISH STEAM loco (per the title and OP of the thread)...
Perhaps being coal fired was their ultimate flaw...

There is always one that tries to be top of the class!

The Baby Deltics were a Class of ten as were the Clan Locos

Very True...
But which one is a STEAM loco previously released by FARISH and therefore relevant to the subject of this thread??  ;)
