Good man. Something I always recommend (much to the amusement of others)

I've posted a very short video clip on YouTube at https://youtu.be/oj-AnbeDfqw?si=4ebTe1SZHXe5aMMy
It shows that I've been working to complete the capability for trains to cancel a signal after they have passed.
On my layout, The signals are set by sensing the points being activated. A Hall effect sensor then lies in the track just after the relevant signal and resets the signal to danger after a short pause by sensing a magnet under the last coach or the guard's van. Took a while to do, but I'm there at last!

Setting CVs on locos as the line has a speed limit of 60mph if it really existed, only done my 7 4Fs as it's too hot in the layout room - 38°C.
S&D lives on - sort of!

I've been slowly building more of the fiddle yard. Today, between showers I put the full length of the fiddle yard up. Whilst it is certainly missing a few tracks at the moment and not a single bit of wiring has been done, there is certainly a lot of potential there. The yard totally swallowed a 5 coach class 800. I also got a moment to place a couple of the scenic modules next to the yard, using the same trestles.

Having a bit of a tidy up and adding a few more structural pieces to the scenery.  Couldn't help having a play though!

Also added a few details to Wittenheim station, some trees in planters, window boxes, a little paint changes.  Oh and ran the cutest little train I own a VT88

Lovely railcar. Reminds me very much of ones that used to run on Derek Naylor's classic Aire Valley railway.

Actually no, it (was) made by Arnold, this particular one is from the earliest batch which were made between 1986 and 2002, and given that it says 'Made in West Germany' makes it prior to 1990, so I think I can also claim its bonafide Eurospam :). It runs rather well too for just a 2 axle car
