With no responses here on the Forum I have now deleted the Classified ad for my Kato Track Sets to avoid any confusion as I have today, 16/09, listed instead on eBay UK.

Thank you for your interest.

Good afternoon all. Hope all here are well.

Sad news perhaps, but later today I will begin to list all the items I have for sale on my wife Sheila's eBay account.

It is mostly Swiss railways / Alpine area related, but some items will have general appeal, such as figures and vehicles. The listings will include unmade model kits, rolling stock of all kinds, and scenics. I must confess I got a little manic in my collecting over the years so there is rather a lot!

Nearly all will be brand new in unopened original boxes. None of the other items will have had anymore than inspection after buying, with locomotives having had only short testing runs.

I can't afford to give things away and my pricing is based on a bit of research and a lot of hope, but I am always open to advice and reasonable offers. And don't be afraid to voice an opinion here on the Forum - life is always a learning curve after all.

It has been a long-fought and hard decision to sell most of my collection but my health is not what it was - is it for many of us over 70!

There are other factors involved but now is not the time and place to tell the full tale.

I have retained what I want and will continue to enjoy all of that.

Anyway, I shall list items a few at a time and I expect it will take a fair few months to go through it all.

Sheila's eBay monika is sheeps833 so if you are interested please take a look-see once in a while.
And I am always open to reasonable offers via Sheila's eBay account.

Cheers all! :beers:

Very sorry to know this, Mike :(
I only do UK stuff and don't do Facebook but, just in case, I'm after a Farish blue class 25 on the very off chance you have one surplus.

A shame you need to offload the collection, but with more than a passing interest in Swiss stuff I will see if I can give any of it a good home!

Many thanks for that Steven.

This selling N gauge thing is a headache for me at the best of times, which is one of the reasons I'm only selling to UK residents. So any help like this is appreciated. :)

On another tack...

At the moment the items I've listed are a bit of an experiment as far as prices are concerned. I do my best to look at values and condition - so far all are perfect and NIB - but gauging (N-gauging? :hmmm: )the market has me struggling with my divining rod!

The biggest issue you will have is that N gauge in the Uk is a small marker. Continental N within the UK is even smaller. If you want a quick sale then you may struggle, but that isn't necessarily indicative of your pricing being wrong. The eBay global seller program is very low hassle - you just post things to an address in the Midlands and they handle onward distribution (which my phone just autocorrected to "onward destruction" - perhaps prophetically!), so opening it up to foreign buyers needn't be a pain. I'm led to believe the postage fees buyers see aren't overly compelling, but you may get a few sales. I've had 20 or so over the years and never had a problem.

Are you on Facebook? The N'Porium classified page is many times more active than here; with the added advantage that you're putting stuff straight into people's consciousness, without them needing to go looking in the first place.

Thanks for your comments @njee20 , much appreciated. :beers:

I shall look closer at selling outside UK on eBay and maybe try a few experiments.

Not on Facebook and Sheila and I prefer the simplicity of eBay's 'Simple Delivery' system with its g'tees and low prices on postage etc.

Prices seem fair, though at first the listing for the 6 hopper wagons confused me as I read it as all six as one lot (you did clarify in the details).   Probably better NOT to have mentioned QTY-6 in the title as that makes it seem like a joblot.  Buyers will see the quantity available box. :)

Yes, agreed! I confess I nearly bought them when I thought it was 6 for £24, on the basis that I'd find a use for them!

Many thanks Nick, nice to know my pricing seems fair.

Title duly changed. I have also changed the Main photo to show just one wagon.
They are seeing a lot of views so I'm hopeful.
