But the other side looks at it from a promotional point of view, and thinks that we should have a wagon that stands out and says, "Hey, this is the N Gauge Forum!"

To me, wagons like this are one offs, and are exactly what they are - remembering and promoting.

An NGF wagon rolling around an exhibition layout can't be doing the forum any harm, eh.

What George means is that the venerable old codgers on 'ere won't be able to tell if it's their GWR, LMS or Southern wagon without 1" high lettering.
(That's 25.4mm to those of us under 60)

How about the wording reading something like:

N Gauge Forum
  Hoppy 15

I'm assuming a beer van for this.
Is this a possibility?

For those of us/you who think 15 years feels too short, wasn't there a N-gauge Yahoo group before that crashed and the NGF was set up? That had been around since well before the 21st century began.

I am not sure what you mean by "crashed."  I believe the N Gauge and N Gauge Society Yahoo groups morphed into io groups and can be found here:

https://groups.io/g/ngs

They are both still active but receive less posts that the NGF.

All I remember was that the yahoo groups disappeared at a busy time in my life and that I discovered the NGF later, when my life calmed down a bit!
I've had a peek and can see a vague "yahoo resemblance" in terms of the style and format of the groups.
I will keep my life simple and stick to just the NGF anyway!

Any further news on this topic's subject? Has a new NGF wagon been decided/commissioned?

Thanks for the interest.  I started a new job at the end of last year and this has slipped job my list.  I will pick it up again soon, sorry.

So so sorry for the delay with this.  I went a bit downhill with my new job, but everything has picked up now and my head is in a better place!

I have written to the Wagon Yard for the 15th Anniversary vent vans to be made.  I've gone for the same design as the 10th wagons, but cobalt blue and the number 15.  Time has disappeared and I just need this to be done!!! 

I'll update with a price when I can, plus a mock up photo.

OOPS! I'd not remembered it was only 5 years ago, and I did try and list where all the wagons went. I'm somewhat embarrassed to have forgotten.
