Thanks for those. I do like the pale blue on class 37 37501 Teesside Steelmaster but it must be a bugger to keep clean!
A friend has the Farish one.........(377-168K Collectors Club)

I think Thursday was the The Greatest Cleaning! Every loco and bit of stock had been spruced up and turned out beautifully. All the unseen Minions deserve a round of applause  :claphappy:

Went on Sunday - I was on the hoof from 9.30 am until 5pm including the trudge to and from the car park; it was bloody AWESOME! What a 'show'!  Kicking myself for missing the 9F, but all the other boxes were ticked.  So glad I was able to get a ticket.

In no particular order, and just the tip of the iceberg of what was there, the first one says it all -

I don't know about "So many trains" it was too many for me! I missed recording those two big vinyl 50s, which I can live with. 90018, I didn't even see it!

Too. Many. Trains. Enough to keep celebrity liveried model re-releases going for years.

Nah, no, nope! I LOVE that there were SO many there: e.g. I'd never even seen a 'Peak' in the metal before I went - I lost count of how many there were, I like that some had to be caged like dangerous wild animals beyond visitor-reach because there was nowhere else to put them, I even love the fact that I missed some stuff despite really putting my back into trying to get round the whole enormous site - because that way I still have things to track-down on their home turf.

I'm new to all this of course, which skews my impressions - a year ago I had no idea that so many locomotive classes had survived and been preserved, even the most prosaic sorts, and am very grateful to the wonderful people that give so much to keep them 'alive', and I'm especially grateful to all those who herded them into one place for our entertainment!  What a trip!  :claphappy:
