I found the list of Farish locos easily enough, but is there a similar list of all of the Dapol produced locomotives ?

The knowledge bank isn't for questions FWIW, so you may get better answers by posting in the appropriate place; probably the manufacturer sub forum.

Ngauge.org has a list of all the diesel/electrics, but doesn't cover steam.

I have assumed that; D would be for Dapol. Knowledge would be for information - i.e. where to find information about a specific model. Not sure what FWIW is. I also thought all members would receive new notifications on this board.

Still ,as my daughter says ; "assume makes an ASS out of U and ME.

@geofff I've moved your thread to N Gauge Discussion.
This site might help. I've just entered 4 search criteria and by altering the top item you'll get a list of locos by class. It only seems to give the later stock references, though. I have quite a few of the older 'ND-xxx' reference locos. It also doesn't show historical models e.g. the 2-8-0s
I guess it's better than nowt, though. Have a play and see what you think

Apologies for the late response, but I only just came across this thread. 

Probably the most up-to-date list of locomotives produced in British N gauge can be found in the Spotter's Guide to British Locomotives published by Howard Foy of Engee Publishing. 

This guide not only includes all Dapol locomotives produced to date but also locomotives produced by all other British N gauge manufacturers. 

The latest (2025) edition can be purchased here for £11.95 plus shipping:

As with such a complicated and detailed volume, it is possible that there may be some errors and omissions.  However, as stated in the book, Howard welcomes comments and corrections.  I sent in several corrections to the 2020 edition and he incorporated all of them bar one. 

A photo is included for each model and I have included a sample page that includes several Dapol Models so the format of the book can be seen.  Well worth £11.95 in my opinion.

Having bought a copy, I can totally agree with Ian

Nice but really such resources need to be an online database to keep up with new additions and corrections.   Similar to the ones I use such as spurweite-n.de,  spur-n-datenbank.de  which are very comprehensive for the European N products.  Spurweite-n  does include a few Dapol items though definitely not all.

I agree that in this day and age such lists should be in an electronic database format (even if it costs the consumer to access the database). 

I am not sure if the Spotter's Guide is a Labour of Love for Howard Foy or a business venture for his publishing company to make money.  Either way, we should be grateful for what we get.
