Dingo mounts for Dapol uncouplers

Just a quick question as to has anyone used these at all with the Dapol couplers and got any reports, good or bad?

They look like an ideal solution since they can fit under a 6-9mm baseboard and for me could easily be controlled through my dcc servo drivers and state they are suitable for Dapol N-gauge couplers.

It is well known that a vital ingredient of success is not knowing that what you're attempting can't be done.

To be honest, my first thought is why?? It has the feel of an expensive solution looking for a problem...

The Dapol couplings are designed to work with fixed magnets, so why the need for any mechanical movement (if it's to avoid unwanted uncoupling that's a symptom of badly set couplings, and it's cheaper and easier to sort them out).
As for "working under a 6-9mm board" that is entirely dependent on the strength of the magnet used, which they specifically state are NOT included!!

To be fair it says exactly which magnets you need. But it's also quite non committal on whether it'll work. Im minded to agree that it feels needlessly complex.

The magnet suggested for the uncoupler by Dingo Servo Mounts is, at least here in Germany, very expensive - if I remember correctly more than 13€ each (only the magnet!). Adding to that, there is no guarantee it works with your baseboard or has any effects on the other uncouplers nearby.

I've tried a lot to make  uncoupling the Dapol couplings as realiable as possible while at the same time avoiding unwanted uncoupling on my inglenook shunting area. For various reasons aligning the couplings 100% does not work for me and my rolling stock (at least not in the short term). So I had unwanted uncoupling as well as uncoupling that did not work.

I came up with another solution: I use the standard Dapol magnet, but mounted it on a Dingo Signal Mount (using the adapter plate, some glue and, due to a very thick baseboard, some wood for extension). The Signal Mount provides perfect vertical movement.

When activated, the dapol magnet is moved up directly below the sleepers, which provides reliable uncoupling. In the passive position, it is well below the sleepers and no unwanted uncoupling occurs.
I have to mention that the sleepers of the Peco Code 55 track were made thinner from below. (Sorry, don't have the perfect wording, but hope you get what I mean.)

Using a servo to move the magnet has, at least for me, drastically improved the reliability of my shunting. And this is what improves the fun for me. So, investing some additional 10-12€ for each uncoupler was well worth it!

Perfect and Thank you..  I think this will be the solution for me as I can still make the magnets invisible under ballast with a layer of ballast on thin paper between the top of the magnet cut out and the sleepers.

I will get some mounts and test first.

Since I already use Dingo mounts for the servo pointwork and signals, It will make getting all my parts from fewer suppliers.
