Has anybody else noticed the Russian model trains on TV in the last couple of days?

The news has been showing Russian footage of a train crossing a girder bridge, supposedly to illustrate troop withdrawals. We've seen it at least three times now, and we can't get it out of our heads that it looks like a model. Anybody else seen it and have any views on the matter?

Cheers,

Chris

(I don't suppose we have any Ukrainian members, but if we do, I'm not making fun of your situation!)

I have seen the footage,

And well the military man has come out in me! So the video proports to show the Crimean Bridge over the Kerch Straights between Russian and the Crimean Peninsula, which is a very new bridge so the cleanliness of it sits close enough.

However start looking and there are abnormalities, firstly the quality of the video it may be Russia but they have HD cameras, so either it is deliberately to a relatively poor quality in an attempt to hide certain details, or not all it seems.

If you look at the bridge and on the outside of the frame there is is a access walkway now on the video its white but on pictures the latest one from January the access walk is silver... that's a fast paint job especially at this time of year in damp conditions.
Above the lines there is a horizontal support structure which has a movable platform on pictures again the latest Jan this year on the videos its missing.....

Now for the train well more to the point the armoured vehicles, and things don't add up either, the mix of platforms with command and control vehicles, armoured infantry Anti tank platforms, main battle tanks and self propelled artillery now for the devil in the detail the mixture doesn't add up like any military would Russia does logistical movements like this by units as such you wouldn't get them mixed up so much even pictures Russia has sent out recently shows trains with one or two types of platforms alone which is what you would see.

But also look at the vehicles all those that have been moved forward and show on the high quality videos that the armoured platforms have applique armour fitted, but again the ones in these videos do not and actually don't have any unit markings on which again you would typically see.

Final bit now the back ground on the videos and well, the moon state and the cloud conditions generally match the conditions over the past 72 hours, but again the devil in the detail on part of the video you can see lights on the water from bouys to protect the bridge, but over the past 72 hours the sea state there has been slight but on the video the reflections are on calm water...

So all in make of it as you will personally from my past career there is to much wrong, and despite it been a good model that's all it is!
Mechanical issues can be solved with a hammer and electrical problems can be solved with a screw driver. Beyond that it's verbal abuse which makes trains work!!
