I am  trying to  organise a photo shoot with 2 other members of  the BMRG in which we should be able to field enough  Westerns to represent the whole fleet of 74 that were  built for / by the Western region  of  British Railways.

Hello

I've only one Western model, but I must have seen most of  the real thing in my youth from Slough Station.

If you ever want to sell D1000 (unweathered) then I could be interested.

regards

Im a bit like that with Minitrix warships,a fair few having visited Ozymandias for rework,I now have the the whole fleet and a couple of spares. Totally over the top I admit, not remotely practical either.
Then you see some forlorn looking example for sale and think will another one really hurt?

Oh dear!
You can never have to many Warships!

Will have to get the camera out!

Back in the early days when I did British N 50 years ago I was proud of my white metal MTK Western  :smiley-laughing: :D

Actually I was joking, the 'recommended' Yugoslav LifeLike chassis wouldn't move the loco itself let alone pull anything! That's why I switched to European N with a Fleischmann BR110 and 3 silver fish coaches from MEKS in Caledonian Road

Do you have your Warship fleet (assume you have the D600 range as well)  in the original BR livery : D number or not; did they ever have a TOPS number?

D600 Warships were Class 41. No Western region hydraulics lasted long enough to carry tops numbers
