I wonder how long before some killjoy's child falls while alighting so they invoke a No-Win-No-Fee lawyer and get awarded draconian damages by our useless Judiciary, and the carriage is removed. And of course H&S get the blame as usual from the Gutter Press.

Library inside a former Shinkansen car in Tokyo:


Opened in 1992, closed last year, partly due to deterioration in the vehicle's substance.

I'm sure I heard of a kindergarten acquiring one too (JR was giving these away for a fairly nominal sum 15 ~ 25 years ago).
