I think the Universe has decided to convince me I am losing my mind.

I have a copper bracelet which I wear most of the time. A few weeks ago, I was putting a jacket on ready to take the dogs for a walk when I lost the bracelet. I put my arm into the sleeve, the bracelet got caught and disappeared from my wrist. Completely. I expected it to be caught inside the sleeve somewhere, but it was nowhere about my person. I knew it hadn't fallen on the floor because I would have heard it. I could not believe something could vanish so completely when I knew exactly when and how it had disappeared. In the end, I gave up worrying – it had to be somewhere, and I expected it would turn up eventually.

Yesterday, it did. I was taking the dogs out again, and I spotted it. It was on top of the 6-foot fence beside the footpath alongside our garden! Three questions:

1.   How did it get there? (Obviously...)
2.   Where has it been in the intervening weeks?
3.   Am I going mad?

The only sensible explanation I can come up with involves multiple universes, time travel and wormholes in space-time that don't quite join up.

Cheers,

Chris  :confused2:

I guess it fell out of your sleeve as you left the garden and landed on the footpath where a passer by spotted it and put it on the fence where it was more likely to be seen. No need to call Mulder and Scully....

Scenario 1. Unless said bracelet is an extremely loose fit it shouldn't have come off your wrist whilst putting the jacket on. It could well have slid off outside on soft ground/grass so it was not heard by you and, as Gareth said, some kind soul put it where you might later find it.
Scenario 2. Your other half found it and placed it on top of the 6ft fence in an attempt to convince you the plot has been lost.
Scenario 3.

3.   Am I going mad?

Yes, Chris :laugh3:

That is far too likely an explanation to convince any conspiracy theorist...

It still doesn't explain where it went to all those weeks. It certainly wasn't sitting on the fence or I would have seen it. Hmmm...

Cheers,

Chris

PS. @Newportnobby 2 or 3 are the most likely, and equally worrying... :worried:

I think the role of the dogs in all this should be examined more closely.  :hmmm:

That's what they want you to think.
