Sounds good to me. On the two wheeled subject, there's a new series on Channel 4 tonight at 10p.m. called "Daredevils-life on the edge" with tonights episode featuring Guy Martin, TT racer who always tries soooo hard, but has yet to win a TT. ;D

I'll be Sky plussing this. Some fantastic races were run in the nineties.
Who remembers the duel at Assen between Foggy and Pier Francesco Chili, where at the very last corner Chili went down then caught up with Foggy in the pit road after the cooling down lap,or the Monza finish where Foggy beat Edwards,I think if memory serves me right by five thousandths of a second.
Some great riders such as Jon Kocinski,Aaron Slight,Colin Edwards,Jamie Whitham,to name but a few.
I remember with great fondness how passionate the racing was and how going to Brands Hatch for the European round along with over one hundred thousand like minded fans.Always hot and sunny and a total pig to get out of at the end of the day, only to join the car park that was the M25 shortly after.Only time I ever camped or slept rough as I like to call it.
It will be interesting seeing all this again.I got a dvd for chrimbo with Foggy and Whit doing various things like motocross and a bit of road racing,as well as excerts from their roadshows which were absolutely hilarious, one such story is the one where Whit smashed his pelvis whilst riding Kenny Roberts' Modenas gp bike in Brno in the Czech Republic. This story charted the bit where upon being transferred from the Czech hospital to an English one he had to have the cathitor removed. All explained in painful and absolutely hilarity.
He also took a flight in Whit's light plane in a very strong wind.Cue much swearing and Foggy being scared silly, which he admits was more scary than racing.
Its good to see he still has a sense of humour although in his racing days, his mind game playing was legendary.
I met him twice and the saying "Never meet your hero's" does not apply to Foggy or Whitham, nor does it applt to people like Niall Mackensie and Randy Mamola whom I met at one of the NEC bike shows, which conincidentally was held on the same week as the Warley Show was held.I was properly into my bikes then,I still have my Honda CBR600fp in my kitchen, like I'm into my model railways now.Only problem is,I only have money for one expensive hobby,so eventually,I will return the bike to a roadworthy condition and sell it to fund more trains no doubt.

When I was still riding my Suzuki VX800 I took it in for service and they lent me a GSXR750, took it for a spin, going down a local dual carriageway passing a few cars at 70mph had a light flashing twit in a Mercedes behind me thought I'd better get out of the way, twist grip and watch flashing lights receed look at speedo to find that perfectly comfortably I was doing 125mph! not the right speed to approach Bournemouth town centre!! Didn't even need to change the "under rods"  Will be watching and also following the tour de France, lovely views of some of the finest country to ride a bike (powered in my case!) through.

Hey S R Dave,was your bike a TL1000S or the TL1000R?
If it was a TL1000S,they were absolutely legendary for going light on the front end and then going into a tank slapper. They had a rotary damper in place of a normal damper to save on space but apparently they used to go solid so had no damping force causing a pogoing effect from front to rear which started of a wobble followed by a full blown lock to lock tank slapper which then forced the pads and calipers to go back, which meant once the bike recovered, the next time you braked the lever came back to the bars. They needed pumping back to normal position to work again. Some riders didn't get this far and ended up hurt or worse. The TL1000S gained notoriety due to this fault and Suzuki recalled them to cruedly retro fit a steering damper to calm the front end down which made them very stiff steering machines.
Some shocker makers engineered conventional dampers to remove the at fault rotary damper but the damage was done. The TL1000R had a conventional damper fitted but by this time,a lot of people had moved onto Yamaha YZF R1's,so that was it really for the Suzuki v twin.
I never had a ride on one so I don't have any experience of them but I have ridden a Honda VTR SP1 and a Ducati 748SP and found they sounded wonderful, went like a stabbed rat and handled like a dream.I still think though, that there's nothing that sounds better than a screaming, across the frame four.Mine has a gorgeous induction roar at around the seven thousand rpm range all the way to the red line. Its only got 95 horse power and a top speed of about 160mph,but its the getting there that its about. At the time I was riding last it made my Skoda Octavia TDI seem pedestrian after I got off the bike, and its not a slow car either.
I do know someone who had a TL1000S,he got rid of his for an R1 after six months, not because it scared him to death, but because it was a pig to keep clean. They had exposed oil coolers, rads and front cylinder head and downpipe that got filthy if you rod them in the rain.He was not a fair weather rider like me,but a proper one who rides in all weather and seasons.

Ooh nice, they do look good with the belly pan on don't they?
Carbon cans as well. They made a lovely noise with them on,especially race cans.
Mine just has the standard exhaust on,when I was riding in a group,we were always getting pulled over by the feds because a couple in our group had race cans on.One chap always managed to get away with it though because his VTR,not the SP1,had standard cans but the baffles were blown so it sounded evil. One of the others has a gixer thou with a race can.His drowns out mine up to about twenty yards away. Can't hear mine when he is around me.
I'm starting to get the bike bug again I think.Only problem is,I need a new lid, leathers due to weight loss and the bike needs new tyres, battery, mot and taxing. It hasn't been started in about two years so that might be a problem as well.
Money,thats all I need now.

They also made a very loud pop when you flicked the kill switch off and then back on again.I remember nearly falling off mine on the road leading into Cadwell the first time I heard one in the flesh with race cans on.
Although it probably didn't do the engine any good in doing so,it was funny to watch others jump after I did the same.
They always seemed to be ridden by chaps with larger frames for some reason as well.
My mate had a Honda RVF400 geey import bike,he is only a little bloke. He now rides a Kawasaki ZX6R,he looks like an ewok from star wars riding it,funny to see.

Well I watched it and thought it was rubbish, little actual footage of racing but plenty of talking heads and showing spectators.
YMMV.

I'm not a complete idiot..some bits are missing.

Shame it was the Carl Fogarty/Jamie Whitham show, but there was some interesting footage and clashes of personalities (if not bikes) along the way.
For a programme entitled Superbikes there was a bit too much footage of the IoM races rather than the incredible races in World Superbikes with manic Keith Huewen commentary that I recalled.
