The body is a plastic version of the old Farish "General Purpose Tank", so the chassis from one of those would be your best fit.
However, unless you specifically want the Shreaded Wheat livery, you'd be better leaving the chassis under the original metal body for additional weight and better haulage...

Its   possible   but    why   go   to   all   this   trouble   when    you   can   buy  one   cheap   on   E  Bay

Doesn't seem to be worth the effort to be honest.  I have two of them and three addon sets of the coaches, they cost me £1 or £2 each set.

I agree you're better off going for the proper model with a metal body for weight.
