Yes, that's what I was expecting. On its way back to its base at Leeming Bar, from whence it came.

I'm on a flight path into/out of RAF Coningsby and use Flightradar quite a bit but their Typhoons and American visiting jets never show up, neither do other military aircraft as far as I can tell.

Mind you who needs Flightradar when you can hear them coming and sometimes reach up and touch them as they fly directly over our house. Well, it seems like that sometimes. :D

Hi

A couple of years ago I got my own airshow on my birthday from the Typhoons as they were on route to Donna Nook. During May we had a pair of USMC Ospreys extremely low over the house it was a fantastic sight.

Cheers

I have just had a look at the app and there is not much happening over Ireland. However, an Aer Lingus flight has just left Dublin for Heathrow and its registration is EI-DER. It is still going up, but presumably, it will be down soon.   ;D

Addit: When it does come down, you might have to duck.  :smiley-laughing:

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

Another RAF Hawk just south of Anglesey, probably from Valley?

The first Hawk, Pirat27 is back on the ground at Leeming, with another, Pirat107 having just taken off from there.

Now I better get on with my housework. :)

Stuart Down Under

Our house is under the approach to Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, and I often use Flightradar24 to confirm the ID of aircraft overhead. Now that we in Australia are in splendid isolation, the traffic is down by 90%! Previously it would only show larger aircraft, I suspect to avoid too much clutter on the display. With so few planes about at present, it now seems to display even light aircraft. Most of the big aircraft we do see are freighters.

Athronydd

It often shows multiple Hawks out of Valley
