I'm not generally prone to flashbacks or anything of that nature, but should I take this morning's occurrence as a sign.

Doing some interior painting for a client. Got the roller tray out of the van, loaded it up with white emulsion for the ceiling, started rolling looked down and...

I never clean roller trays. Use them, let them dry, use them again. Dead time cleaning roller trays. I also don't clean/re-use rollers. It costs my clients more in time to clean rollers than I can buy them for. As for the recycle/environment aspect, you have to weigh up the disposal of a roller with flushing emulsion and litres of water down the drain. I don't think there's a perfect solution, but I'm all ears if anyone's got a solution. I don't know of any professional painters that reuse rollers.
