General question.
My Pannier tank body is rather tired, it accidently had a flying lesson and the steps on one side have broken off (Metal body 94XX)BR livery Farish
Are the different bodies interchangeable - could I fit a 57xx or should I go for another 94XX body?
The loco will be used with an Auto-coach so will be looking for a GWR livery body.
Modelling stupid small scale using T gauge track and IDl induction track. Still have  N gauge but not the space( Japanese Trams) Excuse spelling errors please, posting on mobile phone

I have a mint body for a 94XX in G.W.R. livery, I bought the loco cheap, then got a B.R. black body for it from B.R. lines, if you're interested, P.M. me with an offer ;D

The 57xx and 94xx are different. There is also an updated 57xx due in the catalogue.

I don't btw believe any 94xx pannier was ever fitted for push-pull work.  Only ten were built by the GWR in 1947, the rest after nationalisation.

Generally speaking you can fix broken off bits on those shells with a spot of filing to clean up any burrs and some glue (maybe a spot of bracing behind - eg a bit of thin brass), but they turn up on ebay a lot too as people use the chassis for other kits.

Thanks Guys.
I may look outfor a 57 and leave the damaged body as is.
It looks alright from one side

Only the 54xx & 64xx classes of pannier tanks were fitted for push-pull working.

Niether the 57xx or 94xx classes of pannier tanks were fitted for push-pull working. I have seen alot of photos showing a 57xx and auto coach but the loco would need to run round at the end of each journey.

I have seen no evidence of similar use with 94xx locos but it would be possible.
