I'm after a wheeled excavator to convert into a Rail/Roader type machine for a bit of a diorama. Tried shapeways and google but nothing seems to give me what I want.

George. Yes. Buckiemodelcentre.com and hattons list tomix  komatsu and fujimoto but they look overscale

hmm... other than the shapeways one already linked to above, the offerings out there all seem to be tracked rather than wheeled.


Fortunately I have a good friend who is an expert at making N scale vehicles etc. totally from scratch, so I've had this one sitting on my layout for the last 20 years ish 

Will a 1:160 model be suitable for your needs?

wonder if you could bodge err convert the PD Marsh log clamp for that
