Yesterday I found a piece of metal on the layout. I do not know what it is or from whence it came. I am guessing that it may have come off a locomotive, possibly a diesel, but I don't know. I have looked at modern era locomotives I have had on the layout recently, but can not find anything obvious. Does any one know what it might be  please? The item is 1 inch in length, slightly curved and has four panels of perforations.

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

@njee20  :thankyousign: for the quick response.

Guess what? Having read your reply I went and looked at my Class 57 'Northern Belle'. It does not have the roof grille on either side! It appears that both roof grilles must have been loose and fallen off - so I now have to go and look for another one that, hopefully, is lying somewhere on the layout or in the train room.

Well that explains why it didn't look odd at first glance...! Glad to help.

Someone on Facebook had some etched if I recall. PH Designs do them in OO gauge, they may be able to resize them.

Following your reply, I sent an email to PH Designs. I have already had a reply stating that he, (Peter), can do me a pair for £12.50p + postage. I presume that a drop of superglue will do the job?
:thankyousign:

Addit: Should any one else be interested in products from P H Designs, he does not accept PayPal or other electronic forms of payment, so it is cheque/Postal Order or that other stuff .............. cash.

Excellent, glad you're sorted.

Last time I ordered something from Peter it was £6.75 plus £1.80 postage (ie £8.55). I asked if postage was flat rated, and thus £15.30 would be sufficient for 2 of them. He told me that two of them were £20 including postage, when I queried this was more than just buying two separately he apologised and told me it was actually £19.60...

I decided I could wait!  :confused1:

Good products though!
