Hi everyone - I just took a ride on an East Midlands Trains 5 car Class 222 unit from Luton Airport Parkway to the East Midlands to see my Mum, and I did enjoy the ride and the was rather taken with the livery.

I'm looking to see if one is available in N - I can see the  class 220 was produced in N by Farish (found this list of all models: https://www.modelraildatabase.com/classes/details/135/)

AND then I found this reference from Hattons to say that Grafar planned a class 222 (but in another livery - a previous franchise) and but it seems cancelled the plans to build it:
https://www.hattons.co.uk/stocklistdatabase/21322/graham_farish_371_676_class_222_011_4_car_in_meridian_midland_mainline_livery_cancelled_in_july_2010_/stockdetail.aspx

Can anyone fill me in on what happened?

Final point, I see Electrarail do a kit to convert a GF or Dapol class 200 to the East Midlands Trains livery - https://www.electrarail.co.uk/class-222-meridian-4-car-unit-217-p.asp. Has anyone on the Forum tried this? How easy/difficult is this?

I'm flirting with the idea of running multiple eras...... :)

You need to do a little repainting of the Voyager for the Meridian vinyls - mainly making the roof black and extending the yellow nose a bit. I found a bit of deft yellow on the headlight clusters also makes them look a bit more Meridian-like.

Once that is done, then the vinyls will go straight over the Farish / Dapol model (and have the correct window layouts).

Here's a picture of the 222 in Hull Trains livery, which shows the extent of the vinyl. I just really liked that livery.
