Found this for sale on ebay last week, added to my watch list and forgot about it until after the auction finished! :-[

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-model-railway-box-wagon-in-N-gauge-by-peco-boxed-/122193164808?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=whfsefU6BMl3axzQijYewc9HkMs%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

Anyway ignoring my stupidity for a second can anyone tell me if its an example of the old Parkwood kit? Apologies for the image its the only one posted and its a bit blurry!

Hi

It does indeed look like the old Parkwood kit. Hopefully the NGS will release it in the fullness of time.

Cheers

But as I stated, the van was sold, and I suspect it was the only one he had. The only way to do what you say is to break eBays' terms and conditions!!

Thanks folks,

As the seller had listed the Palvan as 'A model railway box wagon in N gauge by peco boxed'  I assumed that it was a kit body by 'somebody' on a Peco chassis.

So now I've just bought a twin pack of ex-Parkwood Kits from the NGS Society Shop. One is a Palvan - hopefully just like the one I missed on ebay - plus something described as a BR medium Steel Open.....I'm assuming its a 13T LNER derived design? but I'll have to wait and see on that - unless anyone can enlighten me further?

Price for the pair £14-50 including postage so well pleased.

Will be on Paul Bartlett's wagon site for a wee while and then have to dust off the Larkins books too.

How can it be breaking eBay terms and conditions to message the seller and ask to relist if he has another or email him about information regarding it. Not asking to buy outside eBay ( As I list my items on both eBay and Forums ) just information about the item. The information is for all to see don't even need to be a member. Not breaking rules lol

I recently purchased some of the ex-Parkwood Kits from the NGS including this one. The Open is to Diagram 1/019 which I think was a new design but similar-ish to ex-LMS Opens. 4,000 built from 1951-55 in Ashford, number series B457597-B461596. Hope this helps.

Some of the ex-Parkwood kits are already available from the NGS shop: http://www.ngsjoin.com/ex-parkwood-kits-4934-p.asp

I think the Pallet Van (if the same thing!) is part of a twin pack.

Cheers, Mike

Hi

Thanks I didn't realise they were available again now.

Are there any plans to release the VEV van kits?

Cheers

Hi Paul

The simple answer is yes (the intention is to re-release all the ex-Parkwood kits), but I don't know what the shop has in stock (but not listed) or when they could re-stock them.

Cheers, Mike
