Yebbut what's the point of that?

I would buy a complete streamlined train, but wouldn't be interested in just a loco. Totally wouldn't fit with my railway, but hey, that's how I ended up with a HST.

Got agree, the complete set or nothing, otherwise it's like having a slice of toast with no butter.    ;)

I just want the locos to start with :( I guess I will have to go down the Langley route, now what chassis to use?

But you'll have the best N gauge streamline Duchess ever built  ;)  ;)  :D

Look for the least popular liveries - BR Green and the BR black one I think, or those split from the Cumbrian set.

I have an idea for the Black one which you'd like ;-)

Cheers,
Alan

Princess Turbomotive?.......

Dr Al

Technically, as I say, it's out of era for Paul, but it does have LMS on it......  ;)

Suffice to say (and likely completely give it away), when you've already converted two Farish WD 2-8-0s into a single WD 2-10-0, what do you do with the spare tender................?????????????

:D

Alan

Your doing a model of the Duchess sent to the Southern for the loco trials?

Highly tempted to if I can get a black 46236 for reasonable money. Seems like a fun idea for something different.

https://flic.kr/p/cKZf1w

By modifying the tender wiring to add a connector or plug, I could retain both tenders for interchanging to represent when it ran with its normal tender also on the other regions.

Would need only the numbering changed to LMS style, late LMS lining added and the tender swapped and lettered LMS. And converting of smokebox to a 'semi'. Overall, seems a reasonably easy mod.

Fun idea?  :)
