I can only share in thoughts of the many, a sad loss.

Jerry
Some days its just not worth gnawing through the straps.

I thought I was about to read that he was recovering well, but I'm saddened to see what has happened.  He was always a gentleman in his posts and supported the forum.  Such a shame that he didn't get to show off the NGF Tour Coach on his layout, but he gave it a good try and I had hoped that we could send it back to him.

All the best up there Peter.

What can anyone possibly add to all the respect and kind wishes posted for Peter and his family.
Sleep well and pleasant dreams Peter...
Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!

Peter was one of nature's gentlemen. I never met him but I have the impression that he treated everyone with the same kindess and respect, whatever their background or position in life.

RIP

Bealman

It's amazing that people can gain that impression from the internet.

To me, that speaks of the stature of the man.

RIP Peter.

Sad news, rest in peace Peter

Peter was like Andy Calvert in that he was able to communicate his personality and his enthusiasm for the hobby through his writing.

Best regards,

Joe

Oh no! I never met or communicated with Peter directly but enjoyed reading his posts. He'll be much missed and my condolences go out to his family and friends.

I have had details of Peter's funeral and where to send donations. His wife Susan sent this email.

Peter's Funeral will take place at 4pm on Thursday 20th October at Banbury Crematorium [Hardwick Hill, Southam Road, Banbury OX16  1ST].  In accordance with Peter's wishes this will be a nonreligious service followed by a few prayers for the congregation to reflect my faith.  Family flowers only please but if you would like to make a donation in his memory, his chosen charity is the RNLI.  This can be done directly or via Humphris Funeral of Banbury.

The service will be followed by tea at Aston le Walls Village Hall [Main Street, Aston le Walls NN11 6UD] to which all are very welcome.

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for all the cards and thoughtful words about Peter.  They are much appreciated and have brought  me and our family comfort at a difficult time.
Susan
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.
