I also dabble in 00 (sorry!) and if it is any consolation the 00 version PCAs have also shot up in price by similar amounts. Recommended prices for the 00 version 38-651 is now £25.95, (same model as the n gauge version 377-927A at recommended price of £26.95). Both can of course be bought at a discount but it seems we'll generally all have to get used to paying more.

Just for info, are we talking about the 377-927 that appears in this document, dated 2012?

Because stuff which has been lying around in a shop for four years, in my experience, tends to be considerably cheaper than new stock.

Having said that, I'm really glad I bought mine last year, as I don't fancy £20 plus per wagon either.

Possibly a 2012 release (which slightly mitigates the price rise), but either a re-release or one that was around for a while, as a few shops still had stock until comparatively recently.

Have waited for my local shop o have any of these for a while.  I saw the end price.......and ecpected at least 2 in the pack compared to the old ones yet a single one pulled out at £23'odd.

....Couldn't believe my eyes, box was put back on the shelf as in no way woupuld pay that for the item.  Sorrry another 5 peco TTA kits ordered but I'll have to be created.

Sorry Mr / MRs Chinaman on the line.  Fully accept conditions are supposed to be better for you now but price way too high now so would like to but not afford to buy new in 18 months now... sorry -too expensive to buy now.  Hope others will buy.
