I've been looking around for a good looking example of a modern buffer stop for my small developing layout.

I initially looked at the Fleischmann products but then came across some 3D prints and thought "Hmm, they look pretty good"

I only want two but the problem is that as a single they cost £6.16 to which Shapeways add £7.80 postage.  However, sets of 12 cost £19.70 plus the same postage ............ which would be just £2.29 each

I've been in touch with another NGF member who would be keen to have a few.  So, we were wondering if anyone else would like to take the opportunity to get one or two, share the postage and so benefit from a very modest "bulk buy".

The idea would be that I would order and pay for the bufferstops and then post them on to NGF colleagues as required.  The cost of posting would of course be added to the cost of the bufferstops and payment to me would be either BACS or Paypal Friends

Can I clarify please, I'm not selling anything, I'm just offering to organize a small purchase on behalf of others.  Purchase cost and delivery cost would be exactly what it costs me - there will be no add-on whatsoever.

You can examine the subject in more detail by following this link:

I'll make a decision about order size, depending on response (or lack of!), on Friday evening (17.06) - so please send me a personal message if you want to be included.

Of course, if you wish to order independently, you can do that as well!

Best regards

Adrian

Just to say, Adrian did check with me about this beforehand and I said it was OK.  :)

The print looks like the one at the end of the Redditch branch. I need four for my little Tomytec bus demo layout, which has four terminating platform lines for the trains. I took the photo (and several others) because I wanted to model the catenary arrangement at the end of the line. The red light in front of the stop always makes me smile a bit. 6 cars now operate to Redditch and the platform is about 6.5 cars long so the final approach is with caution to avoid knocking over the red light!
