I was recently given a bunch of n gauge stuff to sell for someone else, and within this bundle I found an obscure, black train made by minitrix much like the Dock Tank (http://www.minitrix.org.uk/Class2Locos/DockTank/) However, it is slightly different and is known as "little donkey prototype" Is this worth anything, or is it just run of the mill?

Took a bit of googling, but came across this US eBay listing of one

That's the Minitrix T3, which is a common loco in Germany and had the Dock Tank body stuck on for the UK. Maybe they were selling a few in the UK as an industrial shunter?

There's some good threads on here about modifying them to look a bit more like UK locos too.

That's the one.

Pretty run of the mill - £15-20 worth in good working order.

Cheers,

You have to be a little cautious running the Minitrix Dock Tank as I believe the motor was rated for 9V not 12V... easy to burn out if you ever wanted to run at full speed.
