I guess it dates me, but even though young at the time, I loved that Cleese/Barker/Corbett sketch on The Frost Report.  Brilliant.

One of the greats of tv comedy. his appearance in a spoof of
Mastermind was brilliant, also great in Fork handles and
The phantom raspberry blower of old London town.
Sad news.

Ahh! Loved his musical duos with the Other Bloke.

Always under-rated in comparison with Ronnie Barker (much like Ernie Wise was with Eric Morecambe) but a great entertainer all the same.
There's some damned good music and sketch shows going on somewhere

... and it's goodnight from him too, now then.

Yes, another one of the greats lost. 

I heard of this yesterday driving back from a job in the van (I always have R4 on) and wasd genuinely saddened.  So glad someone mentioned Burke and Hare as he was perfect in it.  One would hope a 21 pistol salute from the Edinburgh Malitia!



...I wont say RIP.  Becuse if you bvelieve in anything afterwards he'll be having a great laugh  .  Good night........
