Is nothing sacred anymore? :unimpressed:

Alas, Mick, it hasn't been sacred for a long time. The 'new' animated TV series is likewise a travesty of epic proportions. I will console myself with the complete, original, illustrated books which still have pride of place on my bookshelf.

I suppose the next thing will be changing the fat controller to the critically obese controller, and some pink engines .
:o

bring back the proper Thomas, with Ringo  :smiley-laughing:

Hoots Mon!   If the Rev J R Hartley was still alive he'd be spinning in his grave !

From a different angle there was Gordon the green (or blue) engine so why
not Alex the Scottish engine with Mr Salmond's big fat face in front, or
Bernard (Manning) the dirty old engine.........

He'd have a hard time, it's packed full with books on fly fishing.

Is Yong Bao based on a QJ? One can hope they are reaching out with the Thomas stories to children around the world, children who will grow to have a intrinsic like of steam and railways and who may go on to get trainsets as gifts and be the railway modellers of the future...

Nah, I had to dig down 6 feet. Anyway it was very tawdry humour.

I see that the article claims that Thomas came into existence/being in 1986 whereas everybody knows that Thomas was invented back in 1943 and the first book written back in 1946.

Will one of the episodes concern itself with Ashima the Indian loco getting re-gauged to ride on the Isle of Sodor's four foot eight and a half rails?

I think it's great that it is still being developed with new ideas. I love the later series with all the animation.
Working doesn't seem to be the perfect thing for me so I'll continue to play.
